(Part 7) In our small world, just a bit further, another lifestyle is being lived
نوامبر 4, 2025(Part 6) Why does the media censor the largest peaceful gathering in the world
We’ve heard many times that the media should be “impartial.” The media should accurately reflect the events, censorship shouldn’t replace transparency, etc.
But the owners of major international media outlets, while using various methods of portraying and managing public opinion, claim that they observe impartiality and fairness in broadcasting news and news reports and covering events.
As the largest gathering of people in the world, the Arba’in al-Husayn pilgrimage is held with greater magnificence every year, but it seems that the world’s leading media outlets, who don’t overlook even the smallest event of low value in the world, easily turn a blind eye to this huge movement.
Arba’in has more news value than all the large gatherings in the world because of its type, location, number and nationalities of pilgrims, variety of food, amount of walking, the type of participation by the pilgrims and the duration of the event.
But unfortunately, the world’s influential media outlets are completely under the control of the lords of power and wealth and take into account the interests of capitalists in their reporting. The rare and unique phenomenon of Arba’in and the gathering of twenty million lovers of Imam al-Husayn in Karbala and this great and unique gathering is a clear example of the discriminatory behaviour of these media outlets.
The amount of media bias and targeted censorship that is used against this miracle of love has crossed all the boundaries of professionalism and in censoring the Arba’in pilgrimage, the large global media outlets have officially deviated from all the standards of professional media work and in a completely coordinated manner, they attempt to distort and belittle this great international saga.
What is more surprising than that tens of millions of loving and peace-seeking people gather for one objective and in one place and perform a pilgrimage on foot that has almost no government support and where all the expenses of this large and multinational gathering are covered by the people and perhaps the involvement of governments has provided challenges for them instead of solving the problems they face.
The peaceful gathering of more than twenty million peace-loving people in one ceremony is a huge surprise that all the media outlets should cover. If this pilgrimage was established in line with the interests of the great powers, it certainly would have been covered by the chain media outlets of the capitalist system for a long time and would have published numerous news reports on it.
Whose interests does the display of this great festival of love and affection for Imam al-Husayn endanger? Why are the world’s political leaders hiding the truth of this great pilgrimage from your eyes?
The media outlets who don’t want to see this large reality must have received an order from somewhere not to see such a clear reality and not to cover it.
Depicting the largest peaceful gathering in the world confronts the public opinion of the people of the world with serious and fundamental questions that world powers aren’t interested in discussing.
