(Part 2) How will twenty million people be accommodated?

The beginning of the history of the development of this social movement goes back to fourteen centuries ago, the day when Imam al-Husayn (peace be upon him), the leader of the seekers of freedom and free people of the world, stood up in an unequal battle against the oppression and tyranny of the empire of the caliph Yazid and was brutally murdered along with a few of his companions and family members in an unequal imposed war.

Although outwardly, the battle of Imam al-Husayn and his few allies ended in an unequal imposed war against the corrupt and fascist empire of Yazid and which was also in favour of his violent enemies, from a deeper perspective, the real victory belonged to Imam al-Husayn and his companions because, in that battle, Imam al-Husayn left a lasting legacy and tradition in the world and with his blood, he established the culture of fighting and standing against oppression, which will remain in history forever and will remain an example for the seekers of freedom in the world.

Every year, on the anniversary of his death, Imam al-Husayn’s followers from all over the world, regardless of their race, nationality and social status, participate in this annual gathering and pilgrimage, and by emphasizing the human ideals of Imam al-Husayn, the people are reminded of the need to distance themselves from the inhuman laws and cultures that rule the world, which lead to violence, extremism, discrimination and social injustice.

On the occasion of this historical event, more than twenty million people from all over the world (including from Sweden, Denmark, Austria, the United Kingdom, Colombia, the United States, Australia and Canada) from all religions, races, denominations and ethnicities, they make their way to the city of Karbala in Iraq, the place of Imam al-Husayn’s burial, to participate in the largest peaceful gathering in the world.
The Arba’in gathering shows that love for human ideals is the only link that connects the hearts of billions of people and makes racial, geographical, ethnic and linguistic differences disappear.

Arba’in is considered to be the meeting place of millions of explosions of energy of love for Imam al-Husayn and his ideals in history and this energy is what moves human society towards a new civilization based on human values.

The expectation of the emergence of a great worldwide government that will spread peace, security, tranquillity, justice and purity throughout the world is deeply rooted in Imam al-Husayn’s human ideals.

Today, all the people of the world, who share human principles and values, respect and honour the anniversary of this great event and this great tragedy. Based on this, there is no difference between the oppression of a Black person and the oppression of a White person or a follower of any religion or ritual, just as there is no difference between the pain and sorrow of Imam al-Husayn and the pain and the sorrow of Jesus (peace be upon him) does not exist.

Today, during the million-people-strong Arba’in gathering, one can see the spirit of freedom and liberty of Imam al-Husayn in the stature of these millions of people. The spirit of humanity will emerge from this great movement.

Unfortunately, the political leaders of the world, who see their dominance in the differences between people, are trying to keep this peaceful gathering of the world hidden from the eyes of the world with censorship of the news and belittlement.

What is the secret of this great gathering that repeats itself every year?
How will twenty million people be accommodated?
What is the ultimate goal of this gathering?
